Neem Meal Soil Additive - Certified Organic

Feed your indoor plants and deter pests with this dry amendment you can add when repotting or gently sprinkling on the top of dry soil.

What is it? Neem Meal is a byproduct of cold pressing neem seeds for oil production and contains a high level of Azadirachtin, the active constituent of neem oil that helps repel unwanted pests.

Why do I need it? Add some balanced nutritional benefit to your soil with Neem Meal along with fighting off those pesky fungus gnats without needing to use smelly neem oil all the time (Bye bye neem oil soil soaks or neem oil-based sprays).

How to use: Mix up to 1 teaspoon per litre of soil and repot your houseplant as per usual. For top dressing, grab a pinch and sprinkle over dry soil and aggitate it into the top 1-2cm of soil and water through. Feel free to continue to use any other nutrient like Foliage Focus for maximum plant support!

What plants would it best suit? Neem Meal is going to be perfect for your indoor plants that typically get watered regularly like Monstera, Philodendron, Syngonium, Anthurium, Alocasia, Spathiphyllum (Peace Lily), Hoya, Calathea, Pothos, Draceana, Sansevieria, Ficus, Ctenanthe, Maranta, Aspidistra (Cast-Iron Plant) as well as a small amount mixed into soil for cacti or succulents due to the benefits of neem for mealy bugs!

Josh's tips:

Neem Meal is very nutrient dense so overusing it can cause mold - don't let this worry you! Simply remove and use less. If mold continues, your potting mix is likely remaining too wet and lacks airflow - swap over to Chunky & Funky Indoor Plant Mix and not only will your fungus gnats be gone but so will any root rot! Just in case you may also want to grab a pack of our Compostable Pest Traps to catch any adult fungus gnats floating around!

Neem Meal comes packed sustainably in a recycled paper bag (no plastic in sight!) and we recommend moving over to a container of your choice to avoid the bag slowly breaking down due to exposure to organic matter.
